This corporation’s expansion via both acquisitions and generic growth fuels its six-fold revenue increase over the last decade. Success is attributed to relentless adherence to lean/TPS deployment while constantly challenging superior talent within the organization. This search is within a division whcih continues to expand and will add double-digit revenue increases for 2010. This Manufacturing Manager leads a value stream incurring the bulk of the site's growth and is viewed as a developmental role intended to lead to plant management. The Manufacturing Manager leads production, manufacturing engineering, and maintenance for a multi-shift operation with revenues of $20 million.
Our client requires a technical Bachelors degree (engineering preferred) and an MBA or significant progress toward MBA attainment. Candidates must have at least 8 years experience in manufacturing, at least 4 years experience in production leadership, and functional breadth such as a prior role in Mfg Engineering, Supply Chain, or Maintenance. A passion for lean/TPS principles and prior leadership experience with kaizen leadership is required. Candidates must demonstrate success with lean concepts such as cellular flow, standard work, 5S, setup reduction, kanbans, visual factory, plus intensity for metrics. This role leads teams and requires persuasive communication skills for success.
