Our multi-billion dollar manufacturing client produces engineered industrial/commercial products in sites worldwide. The corporation is focused on growth, organic and via acquisition, with an unquestionable top-down commitment to lean transformation throughout its operating units. Reporting to a VP Operations, this is a staff level role for the site with a charter to drive lean deployment. This plant is a key location within a 3-plant division which dominates its industry. This position is viewed as a 2-year developmental stint leading to a significant operations management assignment.
Our client requires an undergraduate degree, preferring Engineering or Technical disciplines, and MBA or solid progress toward MBA attainment. Candidates must have at least 7 years manufacturing experience, at least 5 years experience within operational functions(production management, continuous improvement, process engineering, supply chain), and at least one prior supervisory role. Individuals must be accomplished driving lean initiatives such as 5S, standardized work, cellular transformation, setup reduction, value stream mapping, visual factory, kanban replenishment, etc. This role develops, mentors, and coaches professionals and hourly associates - team building, a metrics focus, and superior communication skills are paramount for success and advancement.
