A strategy to expand by generic growth and actively pursue acquisitions has pushed this corporation beyond $2 bil in revenues. New industrial/commercial products and business units have been added to North American sites and international locations. Corporate leadership drives aggressive deployment of lean/TPS initiatives worldwide and requires solid customer metrics at each site. The role of Manufacturing Engineering is a broad based role with exposure to continuous improvement activities, improving equipment utilization, cellular flow, and day-to-day troubleshooting of manufacturing problems. This position is considered as preparation for movement into operations management, quality, operations excellence or a technical leadership role.

This client requires a Bachelors degree, preferring Mechanical Engineering, and at least two years experience as a Manufacturing or Process Engineer. Individuals must have prior experience and training with lean manufacturing concepts (5S, standardized work, cellular flow, error proofing, kaizen event participation), as well as prior manufacturing floor experience. Previous experience with fabrication and/or assembly processes is required. Prior experience with mechanical equipment aspects (hydraulics, pneumatics) is required. This is an action-biased culture, focused on deliverables and requires individuals with a like mindset. Communication, team leadership, and people development skills are critical for success and advancement.
