Our manufacturing client is a multi-billion dollar manufacturer of engineered industrial/commercial products. The corporation is acquisition/growth oriented, operates facilities throughout North America, with a growing international presence. This site is a prior acquisition with a new leadership team. Inherited quality systems are far from robust and require a substantive overhaul. This role reports to the overall Site Manager and controls all aspects of quality including customer quality, process quality, advanced quality planning, supplier quality, and quality systems. Key to near-term improvement is a focus upon first pass yield, root cause analysis, and corrective action activity. This position offers a dual career path with near-term advancement potential within either operations management or multi-site quality leadership.
Our client requires an Engineering or Technical undergraduate degree and MBA or technical Masters. The company will consider candidates with significant progress toward Masters attainment. Candidates must have at least seven years successful manufacturing experience, including prior leadership of quality professionals. Candidates must demonstrate a successful track record for continuous improvement and knowledge depth with Six Sigma/lean tools and concepts. Prior experience with the manufacture of low volume, complex electronic devices for commercial applications is preferred. The Quality Manager develops/mentors/coaches professionals - team development and superior communication skills are paramount for success and advancement. Experience with electronic fabrication, assembly, and test is desirable.
