This growing manufacturer of automotive components is an advocate of contemporary technologies and ardent practitioner of lean and Six Sigma methodologies. Its northern Indiana manufacturing site will launch three new products this year, incrementing revenues by 40% and expanding employment. Generic growth and continued acquisitions by the corporation dictate structural organizational changes to keep pace with business levels. The Quality Manager at this site is slated for multi-site Director’s role by May, which requires the development of a Quality Manager for this plant. This role of Sr. Quality Engineer will be developed to become Quality Manager. The plant is a high volume, non-union, high quality site with a solid track record for customer performance. During the interim period, the Sr. Quality Engineer will lead high visibility launches for new products.
Our client REQUIRES an Engineering or technical Bachelors degree. Candidates must have at least five years experience in plant level quality roles. Experience with automotive systems/procedures (FMEA, PPAP, GD&T, etc.) is required. Prior quality leadership experience is preferred. Communications skills are critical to assume department leadership and effectively deal with customers. The client requires CQE, CRE, or CQM certification and strongly prefers Six Sigma Blackbelt certification. This role will lead all quality at the site, including customer quality, vendor quality, process quality, and continuous improvement initiatives.
