A strategy to expand by generic growth and actively pursue acquisitions has pushed this corporation beyond $2 bil in revenues. New industrial/commercial products and business units have been added to North American sites in addition to international locations. Corporate leadership drives aggressive deployment of lean/TPS initiatives worldwide and requires solid customer metrics at each site. The role of Supply Chain Director is key to aggressive deployment of lean principles within the material replenishment and procurement function. This is a developmental role designated as a 2-year assignment with a dual career track into either operations leadership or continued ascension within the supply chain hierarchy.

This client requires a Bachelors degree, preferring a Materials/Logistics discipline, plus an MBA. Required experience includes prior leadership of Kaizen events for material replenishment related lean concepts such as kanbans, visual factory, value stream mapping, and inventory acceleration/reduction. Individuals must have at least ten years experience in manufacturing including prior stints in non-supply chain functions such as operations management, process/manufacturing engineering, quality/supplier, or operations excellence. Viable candidates must have at least three years prior leadership of professionals, and specifically been an integral contributor within a batch to pull conversion. This is an action-biased culture, focused on deliverables and requires individuals with a like commitment. Communication, team leadership, and people development skills are critical for success and advancement. .
