Our manufacturing client is a multi-billion dollar manufacturer of engineered industrial/commercial products. The corporation is acquisition/growth oriented, operates facilities throughout North America, with a growing international presence. The corporation's culture is anchored in lean manufacturing. This site is a prior acquisition with a new leadership team and still early in its lean transformation. Due to promotion, the site seeks a Manufacturing Manager to lead a business unit engaged in electronic fabrication, assembly, and test. The role leads operations, process engineering, quality, and supply chain for the business unit with a focus on customer performance metrics and lean implementation. Viewed as a developmental role, successful team development and lean implementation will lead to a Plant Manager role at this location, other North American plants, or international locations.
Our client requires an Engineering or Technical undergraduate degree and MBA. The company will consider candidates with significant progress toward MBA attainment. Candidates must have at least six years successful manufacturing experience, including prior operations leadership. Significant prior experiences driving lean concepts of 5S, standardized work, value stream mapping, visual factory, cellular concepts, kanban replenishment, etc., are required. Prior leadership of kaizen events is required. This role develops/mentors/coaches professionals - team building and superior communication skills are paramount for success and advancement. Experience with electronic fabrication, assembly, and test is desirable.
