Our client produces engineered industrial/commercial products with revenues exceeding $2 billion. The corporation focuses upon organic growth as well as acquisitions for sustained growth within a culture based upon lean manufacturing principles. This site is part of an expanding electronic products group and is early into its lean deployment. New leadership at the site seeks a Quality & Engineering Manager to lead a customer focused transformation of its process engineering, quality, maintenance, and operational excellence functions. Viewed as a developmental role, successful team development and lean implementation will lead to Plant Manager responsibilities at this location, other North American plants, or international sites.
Our client requires an Engineering undergraduate degree, preference for BSEE, and an MBA. The company will consider candidates with significant progress toward MBA attainment. Candidates must have at least six years successful manufacturing experience, including prior leadership of process engineering, quality. and/or operations excellence. Prior leadership of professionals is required. Significant prior experiences driving lean concepts of 5S, standardized work, value stream mapping, visual factory, cellular concepts, kanban replenishment, etc., are required. This role develops/mentors/coaches professionals - team building and superior communication skills are paramount for success and advancement. Experience with electronic fabrication, assembly, and test is desirable.
