This $ multi-billion manufacturer of engineered industrial/commercial products operates more than 50 sites around the world. The corporation’s culture is anchored in lean manufacturing. This site is a prior acquisition with a new leadership team early in its lean transformation. The plant seeks a Manufacturing Manager to lead a business unit engaged in electronic fabrication, assembly, and test. The role will lead production, process engineering, quality, and supply chain for the business unit with a focus on customer performance metrics and lean implementation. Viewed as a developmental role, successful team development and lean implementation will lead to a Plant Manager role at this location, other North American plants, or international locations.

Our client requires an Engineering or Technical undergraduate degree and MBA. The company will consider candidates with significant progress toward MBA attainment. Candidates must have at least six years successful manufacturing experience, including prior operations leadership. Significant prior experiences driving lean concepts of 5S, standardized work, value stream mapping, visual factory, cellular concepts, kanban replenishment, etc., are required. Prior leadership of kaizen events is required. This role develops/mentors/coaches professionals - team building and superior communication skills are paramount for success and advancement. Experience with electronic fabrication, assembly, and test is desirable.
