In eight years this client’s revenues have grown from less than $10 mil to more than $800 mil last year, via both organic growth and acquisitions. The corporation is a leader in its market for industrial products and materials. The leadership team embraces and supports lean manufacturing philosophies as paramount to future and continued performance. With the goal to expand revenue performance at two regional manufacturing sites, the firm seeks a Continuous Improvement Engineer to drive lean transformation of the facilities. Reporting to Director of Lean Operations, this position is a grooming role for expanded lean manufacturing responsibilities, or ascension into operations management roles.
Our client requires a Bachelors degree and at least two years experience with lean implementation. Experience leading kaizen events is required to include lean concepts such as 5S, standard work, visual management, kanbans, setup reduction, etc. Experience with high mix commercial products is desirable. Communication skills and attention to detail are paramount to lead/build teams, and to foster employee training/development.
Our client requests we limit this search to candidates currently reside in Texas or an adjacent state. With responsibilities over multiple-sites the client does include a company car for this role.
