Our client is a publicly traded, multi-billion $ manufacturing firm with more than 30 plants worldwide. The corporation posted 20% revenue growth last year and 65% increment over the last four years. Corporate leadership continues to push an agenda of growth, new products, investment, and expansion. In a highly technical environment with a skilled workforce, this division continues to expand its site and production capabilities. The role of Process Controls Manager is responsible for all machine controls systems (DCS) and its interface with site IT systems. The position maintains and improves control systems and instrumentation, upgrades capabilities, and manages new IT/controls related capital expenditures. Performance, reliability, adherence to schedules, and responsive customer/user service are key metrics for this role. This is a highly technical and R&D oriented environment with continuous expansion and capital investment to improve/upgrade with state-of-the-art technology.
Our client requires a Bachelors in Chem Eng, BSEE, or Process Control related discipline. Individuals must have at least five years experience focused on interfacing machine controls with site level IT networks/systems. Highly developed trouble-shooting, problem resolution skills are required. At least three years experience with manufacturing instrumentation and controls (DCS/PLC) is required. Prior experience managing upgrade and new installation projects is required. The client prefers a technical Masters. Prior experience fluid or chemical continuous processes is required. Superior communication skills are required for success and development into leadership assignments.
